This is quite the healthy tour package for modern hard rock fans. Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson have announced they are teaming up for the "Twins of Evil" tour, in North America and Europe. In the press release, Rob Zombie was quoted as saying "Finally! Why did the most obvious tour take so long to happen? Who knows? Who cares? It's happening now," and I couldn't say it better myself. It's happening, if you like one of the acts, you most certainly like the other. They will be joined by Korn's Jonathan Davis who will open the shows with a DJ set from his 'alter ego' J. Devil. It will be interesting to see who tops who in terms of stage production.
Here are the announced dates: (more…)
Jonathan Davis is ahead of the game, ya'll. He's beyond metal, beyond rock… he's on that electronic tip. He's now collaborating with DJs, like Israeli trance artist Infected Mushroom and a dood named Datsik. Look at his eyes! And his teeth! What artistry. Is this the future of music? Or is this the future of irritation? ORR, am I just getting old? [via Brandon Geist]
Headbangers Blog has posted a new podcast interview with the enigmatic Jonathan Davis of KORN . Its quite the interview, where Davis addresses the rumors that the band has broken up (which is false, they are all just doing solo stuff at the moment). He announces during the interview that the band has booked studio time in November with producer Ross Robinson (who also produced their first two records) so look for the press releases for this album to say "KORN comes back to their roots". Davis also talks about how he wants to work with Head again and how David Silveria may never play live with the band again.

There has been a lot of speculation about what's happening with this year's OZZFEST , but all of that was put to rest when the official announcement was made today. OZZFEST 2008 will be a one-day event on Saturday, August 9 at Pizza Hut Park in Dallas, Texas. There will be three stages and the lineup is as follows:
IN THIS MOMENT
All-Star Tribute To "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott
KINGDOM OF SORROW
Texas (Third) Stage which will pay "homage to the many great metal bands that come from Texas":
Looks like a pretty stacked lineup, for sure. Obviously, with it being Dallas, and Vinnie Paul being there, they almost have to do a Dimebag tribute, and it should be interesting to see with all those notable artists there. Would you guys go?
