Holy Grail are riding high right now. They have a huge tour with Anthrax and Exodus kicking off in March, they just released their new album, Ride The Void and last night, they were featured in a Super Bowl ad. What, did you miss it? (more…)
When the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest announced their initial lineup a few weeks ago, it was already unfuckwithable. Anthrax (playing Among The Living), Opeth, Suicidal Tendencies, Hatebreed, Exodus, Shadows Fall…and others were already enough to get me excited.
Today, they announced the addition of a few new bands, including The Dillinger Escape Plan. (more…)
When Holy Grail took the stage at our SXSW showcase earlier this year, they brought a sense of fun (and epic headbangs) that was missing from the stage before that. Simply put, the band is out there to have a good time, and that couldn't be more evident with the release of their new track, "Ride The Void." (more…)
Metal Alliance is coming back in 2013 for it's third year, and it's coming back with a vengeance. Already, they have announced that Anthrax will be headlining the show playing their classic album Among The Living, one of the best releases of 1987. Also announced were Exodus, Municipal Waste and Holy Grail, which was already enough to make this killer bill unmissable.
Today, High on Fire has been added to the bill. Holy fuck, is this show gonna rule. Dates have also been announced with tickets now on sale. Here is the routing: (more…)
The Metal Alliance Tour has been an excellent buffet of heavy metal every Spring, and next year year it seems like the buffet is getting a nice slab of classic thrash.

Announcing Our First Ever SXSW Showcase: SOUTH BY SOUTH DEATH (High On Fire, Darkest Hour, Nachtmystium)
We are so fucking excited to bring to you the announcement of our first official involvement in South By South West, by way of an official showcase we are throwing with our friends at MetalSucks and Metal Insider (and some help from Peavey, and ddrum). As you can tell by the super-sick poster designed by Mike Wohlberg of tFk! Illustration above, we are bringing the metal to South By on the first official night of partying for the music showcase, Wednesday, March 14th with the likes of High on Fire, Darkest Hour, Nachtmystium, Intronaut, Black Tusk, Holy Grail, and MonstrO. Seriously, is that a ridiculous line-up or what? It all starts at 7 pm on the patio stage at Barbarella on March 14th. This is a free showcase if you have an official badge or wristband, and limited tickets will be available at the door for purchase. It's going to be insane! Hope to see you there.

Like most fanatical music dorks, I spend the holiday season listening to my favorite records of the year, in vain hopes of creating the impeccable top ten list. High in rotation right now is BLIND GUARDIAN's At the Edge of Time, which I gained a drastic new appreciation for after seeing Germany's heaviest Tolkien freaks play one of the year's best shows at the newly-christened Best Buy Theater in Manhattan.
It's time to party! Eluveitie have announced a new North American tour, and it's going down February 2011. Coming along for the ride will be 3 Inches Of Blood, Holy Grail (whose video we premiered yesterday), System Divide. This is sure to be a tour that will have people with their hands in the air, and they will most likely wave them around like they just don't care. Because Eluveitie know how to party! Here are the dates: (more…)
You read that headline correctly! Exodus is going on tour again and they are taking out a band named after their first album release (Bonded By Blood). They have truly come full circle (or something like that). The tour will also feature Malevolent Creation and Holy Grail (no relation to Monty Python). If you are ready to get your thrash fix, this tour is for you. Here are the dates: (more…)
