Man, Austin, TX really knows how to party. Between South by Southwest and now Chaos in Tejas, downtown Austin must have a ton of whiskey puke on it's streets. This year's Chaos In Tejas lineup looks pretty fucking metal as well, with performances announced by Nasum, Moss Icon, Saint Vitus, Best Coast, Drop Dead, The Clean, Iceage, Church of Misery, The Abused, Ringworm, Ghoul, Phobia, Antisect, The Mob, Municipal Waste, Ceremony, and just announced, a Sham 69 reunion. Get the full lineup right here.
In the mysterious and disturbing country of Creepsylvania, times seem to be just as hard as they are in the States. You see, our favorite mutant residents of this distant land, Ghoul, are in desperate need of a new tour van and with their trek with Gwar on the horizon, time is of the essence. Thankfully, us lowly (yet kind, generous, and physically attractive) Ghoulunatics can help the cause, and potentially get some nifty swag in the process! The band has started a Kickstarter account and even recorded a heartwarming promo video for the aptly named Help Ghoul Buy a Van! campaign. Donations can be made in any amount starting at $1 and depending on the amount, the donator can elect to receive anything from some buttons and stickers to a guest pass to any headlining show nearest them. In all sincerity, though, even if you don't plan on donating, I highly suggest checking out the site – the video alone is worth the mouse-click. (more…)
Not content with just one tour this spring with their friends in Municipal Waste, legendary shock metal masters GWAR have announced a second leg of their Spring tour with stoner jammers Kylesa in tow, in addition to Ghoul and Legacy Of Disorder . That's quite an interesting combo. This is a short run of dates from April 13th in San Antonio to April 28th in Allentown, PA. Here is the full routing: (more…)
While Oderus broke the story to us a few weeks ago on the Livecast that GWAR is hitting the road this Spring with Municipal Waste, today it was made official. Ghoul and Suppression will be providing support throughout the trek. GWAR has also announced that the kickoff to the tour will be another benefit show for the family of their fallen guitarist Cory Smoot aka Flattus Maximus. The tour kickoff happens on Thursday, March 15, the National Theater in Richmond, Virginia. Further dates have yet to be released. If you'd like to contribute to the Cory Smoot fund, you can still do so here.
GWAR have announced a Fall tour with quite a diverse line-up of openers: Every Time I Die, Ghoul and Warbeast. Never did I think I'd see ETID and Ghoul on the same package. They are calling the package the "Return Of The Maggot Tour" and it kicks off on October 18th in Charolette and tours the country before wrapping up on November 27th in New Haven. (more…)
