Reviewing The Iron Will Tour (Kataklysm, Vital Remains, etc)
The Iron Will Tour has come off its Canadian leg to violently penetrate America with dose after dose of death metal. I drove up to St. Paul in the rain and then in circles downtown looking for a place to park, but I persevered, and made it to Station 4 in time to catch opening act Rose Funeral.
I wasn’t sure how this lone deathcore band would fit on a tour of death metal heavyweights. But when the band launched into their set, they proved themselves with a fury. Vocalist Ryan Gardner made several obscene stroking gestures which the crowd seemed to appreciate. “You know all the controversy, breakdowns versus solos,” he said. “Fuck all that. We’re here to play music. Even for zero dollars, we’re happy to be here and play you motherfuckers.”

They are taking out some seriously heavy openers in Origin, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Vital Remains and Rose Funeral. Man, going on after Vital, Fleshgod AND Origin? Live Review: THE DECIBEL DEFIANCE TOUR 2010
by: Graham "Gruhamed" Hartmann
When I first saw the lineup for the 2010 DECIBEL DEFIANCE TOUR, I did the following in order:
1. Shit my pants
2. Bought tickets
3. Changed said pants
The prospect of having FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, DECREPIT BIRTH and SUFFOCATION on the same bill gave me a terrified jolt up my spine. This would by far be the heaviest effing show I would ever see. And with THE FACELESS and THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD sharing the spotlight, I knew the show would attract a very interesting crowd. I could already see it; people leaving on stretchers, pools of blood on the mosh pit floor, maybe even a few broken bones for good measure. In any case, I knew the show would not disappoint… and I was about half right. (more…)

SUFFOCATION announce the sickest death metal tour of the fall with THE FACELESS, DECREPIT BIRTH, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE

Holy shit! Suffocation just let the cat out of the bag that they will be headlining a headcrushing Fall package. Coming along for the ride will be The Faceless, Decrepit Birth, Through The Eyes of The Dead and Fleshgod Apocalypse. This tour is like Summer Slaughter's younger brother. While the official title of the tour is "The Decibel Defiance Tour 2010", I'm going to declare this the Autumn Annihilation tour! Fuck yea! No dates have been announced yet, but as soon as we hear something, you'll know about it!
