Heavy MTL is the biggest metal festival to hit Canada. While in previous years, it was accompanied by a Toronto version of the festival, this year, it's all Heavy MTL… happening August 10 and 11 at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, Canada.

In case you haven’t heard the news or the teaser material, Finnish humppa-metallers Finntroll—Vreth, Trollhorn, Beast Dominator & Co.—are back with their seventh studio album, after making us wait three years for the pleasure. But dammit the wait was worth it. Although, when I first listened to the album, I noticed that something was different. The band’s sound had changed in some almost imperceptible way. I mean, they’re still Finntroll; you can tell across every album when you’re hearing Finntroll, they’ve forged their own signature sound. (more…)

Everyone’s favorite folk metal band, Finntroll, is going back to the studio to record a new album. The group has been teasing fans for the last few days with progress messages on their Twitter account. Do you know what you're going to be doing in February? Finntroll do! They will be touring all over North America with a killer lineup of support including Ensiferum, Barren Earth and sort-of-surprise-openers Rotten Sound. Rotten Sound back in the US! Former MI contributor, and current Invisible Oranges proprietor, Cosmo Lee has posted a really early METALLICA demo, the only known recording to feature both Dave Mustaine and Cliff Burton. If you are any sort of fan of thrash, this is something that will definitely interest you

FINNTROLL, MOONSORROW to headline Noa's Wet Dream Tour Finnish Metal Tour

finntrollJust announced, FINNTROLL and MOONSORROW (two of Noa's favorite bands) are heading out on the road in April 2010 with SWALLOW THE SUN and SURVIRORS ZERO. Noa was seen running out of the Metal Injection studios to hunt for deerskin loin clothes to wear to the show. You have plenty of time to get them Noa, the tour is in April!
