CANNIBAL CORPSE, DYING FETUS, VITAL REMAINS, DEVOURMENT join forces for most vulgar sounding tour package ever

Holy crap! This may be the most awesome extreme tour, maybe ever? CANNIBAL CORPSE, DYING FETUS, VITAL REMAINS and a dash of DEVOURMENT. How could this tour be any more extttreeemeee? I have no idea. The upside (for me) is this package is coming to NYC. The downside, it's only a two week trek, so some of you might be a little bummed. If you are one of the lucky ones who will get this tour, you will have no excuse to skip out on these shows, unless you are not into face raping, brutal death metal. Here are the dates: (more…)

Praise The Lord For DYING FETUS

A few weeks back, while driving home from the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival (interviews coming very soon btw), on the way back we I was blasting Dying Fetus' legendary album, Destroy The Opposition, and frankly, it still destroys! Which is fucking awesome. That's why I got really pumped when MI junkie bridge burner uploaded this sick live clip of the current incarnation of the band rippin' through the opening track, and also our old school intro theme, "Praise The Lord (Opium of the Masses)":

Soooo awesome! Bridge burner has uploaded a ton of sweet videos definitely worth checking out. Also, Dying Fetus is on the fuckin' road right now! There is no reason you should be skipping their show. Here are the dates.

DYING FETUS, ARSIS, MISERY INDEX team up for FACEMELTER Tour

Facemelter Tour 2010

Talk about a stacked lineup! Save your money, kiddies, this is a tour not to miss. Dying Fetus will be taking out Arsis, Misery Index and Conducting the Grave for a killer bill hitting a town near you. While I have never seen Conducting the Grave live, all the other bands kill live. Dying Fetus is of course a band we here at the Metal Injection studios hold very closely to our heart, as Praise the Lord was the intro music for our early shows and a sample of which is still used in our "Exclusive" segments. Misery Index, a band which features 2/4ths of the original DF lineup, is another band that we have seen countless times and that no matter the venue, always absolutely crush live. I can't wait to hear some of the new material live. They may be one of the most underrated bands in metal right now. Arsis of course always brings the shred, as James Malone is a sight to be seen, especially if he's wielding around that pink guitar. Here is the full itinerary: (more…)

New school death metal and old school death metal collide as two of my favorite bands head out on the road together. THE FACELESS and DYING FETUS will co-headline the "Planetary Depravity Tour". New DYING FETUS is streaming in its entirety

DescendThe cover isn't really what I'd expect from these guys (more Sin City, less Texas v. Johnson,) but at first listen the new DYING FETUS sounds like the pretty solid death metal that they're capable of. It's called Descend Into Depravity, and it's all streaming right here. JOHN GALLAGHER is still the only original member, there's a new drummer and unless you know someone at Relapse, you can have a copy in your hands this upcoming Tuesday, September 15.

DARKEST HOUR show how much more fun they are having than you on the Summer Slaughter tour

When DARKEST HOUR guitarist Mike Schleibaum contacted us saying he wanted to submit Summer Slaughter tour diaries exclusively to us, how could we be anything but excited about it? Mike didn't disappoint! Along with drummer Ryan Parrish, one of our favorite people ever, the two provide an entertaining look on what life is like on the road with the most extreme tour of the Summer. You can watch the band goofing around with the not-as-serious-offstage Frank Mullen of SUFFOCATION and then see him be very serious on stage a few minutes later. This is quality video! SUMMER SLAUGHTER 2009 Lineup Announced

Aww shit. It is with great honor, that we here at Metal Injection present to you ANOTHER killer tour we are sponsoring, the biggest shredfest of the Summer: SUMMER SLAUGHTER 2009. As revealed in our interview with Mohamed last year, NECROPHAGIST will be back headlining supporting their new release which is slated to come out in the summer, and co-headlining will be the death metal gods in SUFFOCATION. Also confirmed for the entire run of the tour will be DARKEST HOUR, WINDS OF PLAGUE, DYING FETUS, BORN OF OSIRIS, ORIGIN and AFTER THE BURIAL. On the first half of the tour, BENEATH THE MASSACRE and DECREPIT BIRTH will also be on the bill, with ENSIFERUM and BLACKGUARD taking over during the second half. No official routing has been announced, but as soon as we get that information we will bring it to you. What do you think of this lineup? Let us know in the comments.

Maryland Death Fest daily lineups revealed, start planning your trip to Baltimore

For once, a series has made it to the seventh installment without sucking. Maryland Death Fest has announced this year's daily lineups, with over 50 bands in three days. Any self-respecting headbanger better start calling up those long-lost relatives in the Baltimore area and asking for a place to crash from May 22-24.

MAYHEM, CEPHALIC CARNAGE, CATTLE DECAPITATION, NAPALM DEATH, ATHEIST, PIG DESTROYER, THE RED CHORD, TRAP THEM, MISERY INDEX and SIGH are just some of the big names appearing, plus a shit-ton of potentially awesome bands from all over the metal scale. KATAKLYSM, DYING FETUS, KEEP OF KALESSIN, ELUVEITIE announce "Death By Decibels" tour dates

As far as shows go, this fall is shaping up to be absolutely insane. Without even mentioning Carcass or Amon Amarth, there are still enough sick tours coming around to keep your wallets empty and your ears happy. Start conditioning your necks now, 'cause come September you're going to be banging your heads against the stage like it's 1986 (or something).

One thing I'm really interested in seeing is how KATAKLYSM, DYING FETUS, Keep of Kalessin, and
Eluveitie's DEATH BY DECIBELS tour fares. Featuring an unlikely lineup of brutal death, scathing black, and fiddle-happy folk metal, this is one of the more diverse bills I've seen in awhile, and to my immense delight, there is literally not a bad band on the whole thing. Remember the days when you'd go to see your favorite metal band play and be forced to sit through a half-dozen metalcore bands before getting to the good stuff? I remember going to see Amon Amarth and Children of Bodom back in '04 and being forced to sit through a pre-Hetfield-jocking Trivium. Ouch. Luckily for me and everyone else, it seems that the tide is turning; straight-up METAL tours are starting to come through, and I couldn't be happier. That being said, peep the dates for this one, and start making plans now; this is going to be a killer show, I guarantee it.
