New DEVOURMENT Is Coming, And It's Brootal!

Fans of death slam, get excited, new Devourment is almost here. The album, Conceived In Sewage, comes out on February 19th in North America, February 22nd in Benelux, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Finland, and February 25 in the UK and rest of the world.

Proving that they are not fucking around, the band enlisted the services of death metal mastermind, Erik Rutan (he of Hate Eternal) to produce the record. The band have also released a little teaser of new material, and it will make your ears bleed… (more…)

ARSIS New Album Title And Artwork Revealed

Arsis have been hard at work recording the follow up to their 2010 release Starve For The Devil. Metal Injection first broke the news back in June with some quick quotes from founding member and current guitarist and vocalist James Malone. James gave us some insight to how the album was coming along and also mentioned that the band had also started to work on the album artwork and title for the upcoming release. Well wait no more, as we now have confirmation as to the name of the upcoming album as well as a preview of the artwork!

DEVOURMENT Recording New Album

Devourment have just announced that they are in the studio recording a new album as a follow up to 2009's Unleash The Carnivore which will be the band's first for Relapse Records. What's even more exciting is that the recording is taking place down in St. Petersburg, Florida at Mana Recordings with legendary death metal icon Erik Rutan. (Hate Eternal, Morbid Angel) Scheduled for an early 2013 release, tentative song titles include, "Fucked With Rats" and "Fifty Ton War Machine"  (more…)

Cattle Decapitation's headlining tour with Devourment and Knights of the Abyss had just kicked off and there has already been a bit of a hitch. Knights of the Abyss guitarist Brian McNulty missed the second gig of the tour due to sleeping in after partying too hard on the first night of the tour. This doesn't work for Team CattleDecap, and their tour manager decides to take matters into his own hands via a giant slap to the face. Ouch! It's both funny and painful at the same time. Ultimately, a lesson was learned here… if you miss your opening slots, you will get slapped!

Holy crap! This may be the most awesome extreme tour, maybe ever? CANNIBAL CORPSE, DYING FETUS, VITAL REMAINS and a dash of DEVOURMENT. How could this tour be any more extttreeemeee? I have no idea. The upside (for me) is this package is coming to NYC. The downside, it's only a two week trek, so some of you might be a little bummed. Wow! I cannot begin to tell you how pumped I am for this tour. Earlier today it was announced that Cattle Decapitation is going out on a Fall headlining run, and bringing along Devourment, Knights of the Abyss, Burning The Masses, Son of Aurelius, Slaughterbox and Condemned.
