Damn you DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN. You keep teasing us with these quick teasers, which don't get me wrong, sound fucking awesome. But being American, I want more and I want it now! I am so pumped for this CD, 2010 can't come soon enough. Check out a second teaser the band posted above.

DESPISED ICON posted the title track off their new CD, Day of Mourning on their MySpace page as another sizzling teaser leading up to the release of the album. Having heard the full CD, I can say this is Despised at their best and long time fans will not be disappointed with what they hear.

A new track from Black Market Activities signees THE_NETWORK has been posted on BrooklynVegan titled Corpse Paint. Do not expect black metal.

A pretty sweet CHILDREN OF BODOM cover of the CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL classic "Lookin' Out My Back Door" has been posted on their label's MySpace page. Definitely worth checking out.

Quick Bits: Howard Jones to sing for BLOOD HAS BEEN SHED; SLAYER new album title; DESPISED ICON release date; DEVIN TOWNSEAD interview

Before he was selling out arenas with Killswitch Engage, Howard Jones sang screamed for a band called Blood Has Been Shed. News came out recently that BHBS guitarist Corey Unger has begun writing new material for that band and there was a question as to if Jones would be on the record. Well, during a recent interview to promote KsE's upcoming release, our friends at MetalSucks went right to the source himself, Howard Jones, who confirmed he will be on the record. Personally, I'm really excited to hear this CD.

Earlier today, Blabbermouth exclusively reported that the title of the new Slayer record will be World Painted Blood. There is still no official release date but the band's camp is saying "late summer." One thing is for sure, this dude is excited.

One CD that does have a release date, that I am greatly looking forward to is the Despised Icon CD, Day Of Mourning which comes out on September 22.

Finally, our friends at Metal Insider have a really interesting interview with Devin Townsend, where he talks about his producing career.

THRASH & BURN Tour 2009 Lineup Announced (DEVILDRIVER, EMMURE, DESPISED ICON)

Summer is coming. If you aren't slaughtering, then throw on your gym shorts and let's get ready to throw down! It's the Thrash and Burn tour! The immensely eclectic lineup features somebody for everybody with the following lineup of bands: Devildriver, Emmure, Despised Icon, Mychildren Mybride, Veil Of Maya, For The Fallen Dreams, Oceano, Periphery and Red River Revival. No tour dates have been announced, but as soon as they will be, we will have them for you here!

DESPISED ICON, BENEATH THE MASSACRE, NEURAXIS, CARNIFEX: Full tour itinerary released

Following up on an announcement from last November, DESPISED ICON, BENEATH THE MASSACRE, NEURAXIS and THE PLASMARIFLE are coming down from the Great White North (dragging San Diego's CARNIFLEX with them) to grace the U.S. with a Quebec-heavy tour that looks aboot awesome. The aptly-monikered "Montreal Assault Tour" runs from the end of January into early March, with some Canada dates that bring along BLIND WITNESS and THE LAST FELONY. Full dates are below, with our Despised Icon interview after the jump.

Holy crap! 2008 isn't even over and there are already a slew of awesome tours coming around, and now its time to add yet another package to the lineup: DESPISED ICON will be hitting the road with BENEATH THE MASSACRE, CARNIFEX, NEURAXIS and THE PLASMARIFLE. Tour dates are still being gathered, but here are the ones that are locked down so far:
