DEFTONES Pay Tribute To Late KRISS KROSS Rapper

For all those unaware, Kriss Kross was a rap group in the 90's that made that song "Jump." One of the duo, Chris Kelly, passed away in Atlanta, GA, at the age of 34.

DEFTONES Bassist Chi Cheng Dead At Age 42

It is with a heavy heart that we report that Deftones bassist Chi Cheng has passed away at the age of 42. Cheng was involved in a car accident in November of 2008 that had him in a coma for three years and has left him in a paralyzed state ever since. His family released the following statement: (more…)

DEFTONES Guitarist Is Fine With Fans Downloading His Music Illegally

File sharing and "illegal downloading" are very touchy subjects. Some musicians are not really into it (see: Dillinger Escape Plan's Greg Puciato, Yngwie Malmsteen) while some don't mind (Ulver, Lamb of God bassist John Campbell).

Here's Your First Taste Of PALMS, featuring Chino from DEFTONES and Members of ISIS

In the wake of ISIS' demise, drummer Aaron Harris, guitarist/programmer Clifford Meyer and bassist Jeff Caxide started jamming on a new project, which eventually became Palms. The band recruited a friend to help out with vocals, who knows a thing or two about belting out emotion, Chino Moreno of Deftones.
