I mentioned this in my party notes yesterday, but today it's official. The Decibel Magazine Tour is happening this summer, kicking off in Houston, TX on May 10th. This Month's Cover of DECIBEL Magazine Is The Best Ever!
Everybody knows that Decibel Magazine is my favorite analog blog, and they constantly provide thorough metal information from the comfort of my crapper. The guys always have very polished covers, but I feel like with the August issue they really outdid themselves. The mag enlisted comic artist Tom Neely (he of Henry & Glenn Forever fame) to create a gatefold cover representing the relationship between extreme music and comics. The issue is jam-packed with awesomeness, and if you don't have a subscription yet, get your ass over to their store and get one!

DECIBEL Giving Subscribers More Bang For Their Buck!
Decibel Magazine is the only monthly metal magazine in the US, and every month it's filled with morsels of joy known as "articles" about bands I actually care about. You may recall in my interview with Decibel editor Albert Mudrain a few years ago that I called the mag my favorite "analog blog." Now, they are giving subscribers another reason to be giddy… if you subscribe to the magazine, you not only get a monthly metal mag, free FlexiDisc vinyls with each issue, but also EXCLUSIVE free album streams before release date. Currently, they are streaming Hell's Human Remains, set for a May 13 release and plan to keep the space constantly updated. If you haven't subscribed yet, head over to the Decibel store and pick yourself up 12 issues of metal knowledge, and as a bonus, some free album streams to boot.

DECIBEL To Package Monthly Exclusive Flexi-Discs With Every Issue

There is no question, when it comes to print magazines (or analog blogs as I like to call 'em), Decibel rules all. It's the only metal mag that I subscribe to, and you are definitely doing yourself a disservice if you don't read it. Every month, they introduce me to bands that I need to listen to right away. And now, they are sweetening the deal even more.
Metalsucks has the scoop that starting with the first issue in 2011, and from then on, they will be releasing an exclusive flexi-disc (think thin vinyl) with music heard nowhere else. Exclusive tracks on a pretty fancy medium. The first month will feature exclusive Brutal Truth tracks. Pretty fuckin' killer.
These flexi-discs will be available with issues in some retail stores, but the only way to ensure getting your hands on one of these limited edition bad-boys is by subscribing to Decibel. For the price of a concert ticket, you can be getting one year of metal knowledge, in addition to 12 exclusive vinyls you won't find anywhere else. What other magazine can offer such a deal? Did you subscribe yet?
