DAATH Shredders Working With CYNIC drummer on killer side project

Woah! In his latest column for MetalSucks, DAATH guitarist and our very good friend Eyal Levi announced that he and fellow DAATH shredder Emil Werstler will be teaming up with (the man, the myth, the legend) Sein Reinert of CYNIC to work on a side-project shred album expected to be released in Spring 2010. Eyal elaborates: (more…)

DAATH have weird fans

Inspired by a track off of Atlanta purp-metal act DAATH's latest release, The Consealers (our review here), Russian comrad Burlaka Nikolai created this little diddy of a video. At first you think why am I watching this and then you find yourself asking why am I so disturbed at images of a doll? Amirite? For more DAATH randomness, check out some of the "Daathumentaries" the band has been submitting exclusively to Metal Injection.

Clip of the Day Reviews

CD review: DAATH, "The Concealers"

daath_-_the_concealersDAATH's newest album, The Concealers, has several good songs, impeccable musicianship and enough variety to consistently hold interest. It won't change your life, but good metal doesn't always need to, and for a heavy, catchy American death metal album, you could do a lot worse. (more…)

Metal Up Your Ass: Justina needs Passover Food

Today marks the first day of Passover. I never knew what the holiday actually consisted of but I knew it meant that the Jewish group at my school was going to have some badass potato pancakes in the student center. Because I've graduated I no longer have such quick access to holy-foods I don't deserve. But, if anyone sympathizes for an always-hungry metal head, e-mail me: Justina@englishwaffle.com. Shit, I'll even settle for pics of your dinner.

Since I know even less about being a jew boy than I do about Passover, I've decided to read Metal Suck's jew on jew interview with Daath's Eyal Levi. Now I know "if you got it between the eyes, you got it between the thighs."

What the fuck is a free country if a person can't fornicate with an inanimate object in peace?! CYNIC and DÅÅTH added to DRAGONFORCE tour

Well, this certainly spices things up a bit! On the heels of their big tour announcement, DRAGONFORCE have announced who they will be taking on the road with them, those bands being two Metal Injection favorites: CYNIC and DÅÅTH. This has become a pretty killer lineup. Too bad it seems to be hitting smaller markets as the tour is nowhere near New York City at all. If you have an opportunity to catch this show, do it! All three bands are super fun to see live. Full tour dates after the jump. Also, if you missed our recent interview with CYNIC frontman, Paul Masvidal, check that out here (more…)

DAATH post new shred-tastic MP3 which is far from "Worthless"

Hit the play button above to hear "Worthless," the new track from DAATH's upcoming release The Concealers. In my humble opinion, I think, DAATH are one of the current scene's most underrated bands. This band brings "it" both live and on CD, not to mention they have Kevin Talley on drums, which is like reason enough why this band rules. The CD "drops" on April 21.

DAATH

Daath have been holed up in an Atlanta studio recording the super-anticipated The Concealers record. When you have that many free hours, you're naturually going to want to jam out. Daath did and then pressed the record button putting together a medly of some awesome death metal tunes from the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel and Dying Fetus. The song is called "Fecal Finger" (charming!) and is available for free download from our brothers from another mother over at MetalSucks.net
