MOTORHEAD Announce Headlining Tour with CLUTCH
If you want to talk about a manly tour, none is more manly than Motorhead going on the road with Clutch. These are two bands that are all about the rock and nothing else. No gimmicks. No crabcore headbanging, just straight up, crushing riffs! Looking at the itinerary, this looks to be a tour focusing more on West Coast and mid-West dates, as there are no visible east coast dates. Here is the full routing: (more…)

YOB: The Metal Injection Interview

As September 18th draws ever closer, the riff-hungry troops of doom are stocking up on earplugs and rolling papers, preparing to follow the sign of the Southern cross down towards their own uber-resinated version of Mecca. Past the Mason-Dixon line and just shy of Hell itself lies their destination - Asheville, North Carolina, which, thanks to a bevy of bands and some seriously ambitious promoters, is in turn gearing up to bear witness to the heaviest gig of the year. With the Metal Injection-sponsored (you're welcome) Planet Caravan Festival right around the corner and excitement running higher than Bobby Liebling on a day that ends in "y," we here at Metal Injection figured it was high time we gave y'all a peek behind the wall of sleep and unveiled a brand-new interview with those freshly resurrected, impossibly heavy and inescapably vital purveyors of cosmic, mind-altering "doom with a capital D and six extra O's," YOB.
Resident feedback worshipper Grim Kim caught up with YOB's Mike Scheidt for some gnarly Q&A action about stellar new record The Great Cessation, Planet Caravan, and the neverending triumph of DOOM (in all-Caps, of course). (more…)

It must be my birthday! New music from BORN OF OSIRIS, GOROD and CLUTCH
Yes!! Yes!!! YESSSSS! 3 new MP3s were released today that are making my dick hard. Yea, I said it. Here there are:
One of our favorite young bands, BORN OF OSIRIS has posted a new song called "Now Arise" on their MySpace page. It's a typical BOO affair. The band's new CD, A Higher Place comes out on July 7th
GOROD! GOROD! GOROD! The French quintet just posted a second new track which sounds incroyablé. Hit up their Myspace to check out the track "Programmers of the Decline".
After all that death, slow it down with a bit more funk. MetalSucks has an exclusive download of a new track from CLUTCH called 50,000 Unstoppable Watts. Check that out here.
