A Dying God… – Music Video Decibel Magazine's Dec clip of the month
TRIPTYKON is of course the new project from HELLHAMMER/CELTIC FROST vocalist and guitarist Tom Gabriel Warrior. This project is clearly a big deal and Gabriel has friends in high places. Legendary Swiss artist H.R. Giger has officially authorized the use of his painting, Vlad Tapes (upper left) for the cover of the new record, Eparistera Daimones. The first time his work has appeared on an album in 17 years! Also, our good friend Vincent Castiglia contributed painting an epic portrait of the entire band (preview of Warrior portion seen on the upper right). Here's an interesting fact, the portrait was painted with the use of Vincent's own blood. Pretty epic!
Everybody knows CELTIC FROST is over, but for fans of the band, Thomas Gabriel Fischer has formed a new band called TRIPTYKON, which is very much in the vein of the 'Frost. To preview some of the songs off the new album, visit the band's MySpace Page.
Thrash is back. And its cooler than ever because the masters have returned. Testament will be touring soon and Anthrax members are making all kids of special appearances. After watching Lars answer some expensive questions, you can read an interview with crust king Rob Miller of Amebix [not thrash, but still has a hefty amount of ownage].
RETURN OF THE THRASH
Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante did not invent the blast beat. duh.
Metallica has another single coming out.
Everyone's starting to get Testament fever
Lamb of God latest debuted at #2 and Chris Cornell's solo album debuted at #10 on the Billboard 200. Meanwhile Chinese Democracy is finally falling out of the top 200. Which reminds me: When the fuck is that train wreck Axl going to grace stadiums all over the country in Betsey Johnson tights again. Not to mention Slash and Izzy's brainwaves synchronise on stage.

FLASHBACK OF THE DAY
Before there was Fred Durst and Eminem, America's favorite angry white boy would go crazy when he heard a cymbal. His era was at a time when MTV allowed musicians to ruin TV sets.
