Remember when last week, Atilla's Chris Fronzak bitched about how if his new album "doesn't blow the fuck up" he will quit music…well, if the first single is any indication, it's time to start packing your bags, buddy. (more…)
It's always exciting when a band who you've most likely never heard of starts acting really entitled. Such is the case with Atilla. The Atlanta deathcore band's frontman, Chris Fronzak, took to Twitter last night to boast about how great the new album is, and in the process came off like a total douche: (more…)
I know, I just know, there are people reading this site who happen to be fans of Chelsea Grin, Atilla, Buried in Verona, Betraying The Martyrs and Within Ruins. If you are one of those people, you will be excited to know they are teaming up for the Sick Tour 2. Here are dates:
This week absolutely flew by for me, did it for you? Anyway, there may have been a few new track releases and video releases we missed, so we decided to do a good ole fashioned A/V roundup to catch you junkies up to speed. We've got new tracks from Incantation, How To Destroy Angels, Isis, Underoath, Stray From The Path, I Am Abomination, Atilla and… Ice Cube? (more…)
I'm always fascinated by origin stories, especially ones pertaining to parts of music that are so ubiquitous we rarely take the time to stop and think where it came from. Recently Chris D. at Decibel Magazine decided to tackle the age old question in metal, who started the blast beat?

If you're a Billy Joel fan then you've probably heard his side project Atilla, featuring drummer Jon Small, at some point in your life. What you probably haven't picked up on was what drummers today refer to as the "Bomb Blast" at the 2:00 mark of the song Brain Invasion. (more…)
Oceano had a busy today. They posted a new track, “Weaponized” on their Myspace AND they announced a new tour… “Contagion Across The Nation Tour." The band will headline the tour and bring along fellow deathcore bands Chelsea Grin, Attila, In The Midst Of Lions and Monsters. Here are the dates: (more…)
Music enthusiasts may know ATTILA as a terrible psychedelic rock band from the late '60s. They're deservedly absent from most people's minds, and remembered only (if at all) because their organ player was BILLY JOEL. Allmusic.com describes the band's one record as "undoubtedly is the worst album released in the history of rock & roll — hell, the history of recorded music itself." Maybe so, but I can't imagine that it's worse than Rage, the new album by an Atlanta metal act that shares the name of Mr. Joel's old band. (more…)
