Remember how Ozzy and his son Jack Osbourne are doing a new show for the History Channel? Well, turns out one of the episodes will focus on The Alamo in Texas.
Ozzy and the Alamo have a long history, as 30 years ago, the Prince of Darkness, dressed as a woman, drunk, urinated on the steps of the famous building getting him a ban from Texas. Good times!
MySanAntonio.com reports Ozzy is expected at the site today to make a formal apology for his show. District 1 Councilman Roberto Trevino said he hopes it's a low-key affair. The newspaper also provided this archival report on the original urination story, which is still as magestic as ever:
"He was drunk. Ozzy was super drunk and he had a bladder problem. You know, I don't think anyone would have even noticed what he was doing except that he was doing a photo shoot with the English music magazine Melody Maker and he was dressed in pink tights and ballerina shoes. He wandered over to the side of the statue and there he went, " concert promoter Greg Wilson told the Express News in 1992. Wilson helped bail Osbourne out of jail.
Ozzy seemed like a lot of fun in the 80s, didn't he?
