From my listen, I say it's definitely exactly like every other album they've released. In fact, I had listened to this right after their debut, and really the only difference is the vocalist. If you're a big fan of CC, you'll like it. Otherwise, I'd really only pick it up if you haven't heard another album before.

well this review was horrible. i don't think the person who wrote this is a cannibal fan. how can you compare this with sabbath and slayer? i love sabbath and slayer but come on. and how can you compare this or the last 5 cannibal cd's with butchered at birth. cannibal corpse's music has grown leaps and bounds beyond what they used to be. butchered at birth (as classic as it is) is child's play compared to the current cannibal corpse sound.
bottom line is whether you are a cannibal corpse fan or not, if you enjoy brutal technical death metal, then this album will absolutely crush you. these old guys still have some tricks up their sleeve. BUY IT!!
