METAL INJECTION LIVECAST #174 – FFF

LivecastHeader

Sean and Monica were on this edition of the Livecast. We begin the show discussing Randy Blythe being freed from a Czech prison and how it led to a heartwarming story from Sid. Monica and Noa talk about their night out, which quickly escalates into talk of potential three-ways and same-sex hookups. Lots of sex talk on this one! We spend a good amount of time once again discussing Mindy Meyer, the Jewish "diva" state senate hopeful. Here is this week's, Sid picked, pop-punk playlist:

No Use For A Name – A Postcard Would Be Nice
Pennywise – Final Day
Snuff – Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads
NoFX – Dad's Bad News
The Offspring – Gone Away
Bouncing Souls – Say Anything

    NoFX = pop-punk? Wtf……that's just insulting.

    • Mothmonsterman

      Same goes for Pennywise.

        Guys, trust me, these bands were considered pop punk in the mid 90s when I got into them. This was before Blink 182 and Fall Out Boy took a massive shit on the genre. But I assure you, NOFX, Pennywise and all the rest were lumped in with Green Day and bands of that ilk.

        • Mothmonsterman

          I guess that's because they're from the SoCal area and they play a fairly melodic variation of punk rock.

          • Sid Something

            Exactly. And they were all on the same labels and toured together. It's sort of how H2O was considered a hardcore band even though they sounded nothing like typical hardcore, they just happened to play with only hardcore bands so they got lumped in. Also, I always hated H2O.
