When the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest announced their initial lineup a few weeks ago, it was already unfuckwithable. Anthrax (playing Among The Living), Opeth, Suicidal Tendencies, Hatebreed, Exodus, Shadows Fall…and others were already enough to get me excited. Today, they announced the addition of a few new bands, including The Dillinger Escape Plan.

Whoa, gotta love drama like this. As part of AV club's column "Hatesong," they got musician Matt Pike to pick his least favorite song, and Matt Pike basically went off on Aerosmith, namely their awful song "Dude Looks Like A Lady." Here is the best part of his whole rant:

This is going to be amazing. Metal Hammer loves putting together tribute albums, and they will be celebrating the 30th anniversary release of Metallica's debut full-length album Kill 'Em All by accumulating a selection of covers from some big names including Anthrax, Motorhead, Cannibal Corpse, Primal Fear, Dew-Scented, Rage, Black Tide and others. Anthrax have a busy spring lined up. They are headlining the Metal Alliance tour and are getting ready to release an EP of covers, Anthems. The EP comes out March 19th on Megaforce, but you can hear your first taste at RollingStone right now, with the band's cover of Rush's "Anthem".

The big news last week was Rob Caggiano announcing he is leaving his position as guitarist of Anthrax to focusing on producing full-time. Naturally, every guitarist under the sun thought, "Oh hey…the band need a guitarist… I would be perfect for Anthrax!" Not so fast, buddy!
