With the Rock and Roll Roast of Dee Snider less than two weeks away, the fine folks at Revolver have been releasing new roast footage from last year's event, and this might be one of my favorite clips yet. We've already seen roasts from Jim Norton, pro-wrestling legend "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and Steel Panther and William Shatner, [...]

We have just updated our photo gallery with some sweet new snaps. In addition to Norway's Bunker extreme metal festival that was posted yesterday, we just added two new galleries. First, Rodrigo Fredes checked out Wintersun, Eluveitie and Varg and submitted this great photo gallery. Meanwhile in Toronto, photog Jeffrey Chan checked out Sonata Arctica [...]

Imbroglio know that modern life is not harmonious; there is no balance, there is no such thing as solace. The band craft music that’s in perfect tune with life’s painful dissonance and anti-rhythm. Declared Self Hatred wields a detuned vorpal blade through sludge and mathematically anomalous hardcore, beckoning a listener into a world of cacophonous beauty [...]

Scion A/V has done it again. They have just released another sweet EP from another killer band. Arsis gets the free EP treatment this time around, putting out Lepers Caress, and it's crushing.

Arsis posted an update on their new album, Unwelcome, which is almost finished being mixed. The album, which was produced by Mark Lewis (DevilDriver, Whitechapel), apparently is supposed to sound unpolished, which makes sense given the crusty-as-fuck album art. Here is what the band said on their Facebook page:

Arsis have been hard at work recording the follow up to their 2010 release Starve For The Devil. Metal Injection first broke the news back in June with some quick quotes from founding member and current guitarist and vocalist James Malone. James gave us some insight to how the album was coming along and also [...]

It's the kickoff to the work week, and I'm still hung over from my weekend adventures. Here are some new jams: First up, check out Periphery drummer Matt Halpern jamming out in a new video of him jammin' out in preparation for the band's kickoff at Summer Slaughter.

Is there really such thing as an unlikely location for a metal band to originate these days? Process of Guilt are natives of Portugal, but it's improbable that their alchemy of juggernaut sludge and minimalist post-metal was birthed through any geography other than the internet. In 2012 you can hear anything that's out there, and [...]

I'm still really sore from Orion, but that isn't stopping me from checking out all new music that popped up over the weekend. Check out new tracks from Baroness, Vision of Disorder, Arsis and Thy Will Be Done. Last week, I interviewed Baroness on my SiriusXM Liquid Metal show, and they premiered a new track called "Eula." [...]

There aren't too many death metal bands that excite me anymore, to be completely honest with you, but Arsis is one of the few whose releases I look forward to. News has popped up online, via The Gauntlet, that the band has entered the studio to work on their fifth album. The new album, which doesn't have [...]

Our intrepid photographer Aline Cote-Miladinovich attended Inferno Festival in Oslo, Norway in April and filed this report, along with a massive photo gallery of her experiences. Something strange and magical happens in the town of Oslo, Norway over Easter week. Most of polite society flees to the mountains while a scourge of metal heads pour [...]

You can never know what's going on with Arsis. Heck, main man James Malone sorta quit the band a few months ago, when he opted not to hit the road with the band, but things are all fine and peachy for Malone now, who is writing new material. Things weren't peachy for drummer Mike Van [...]
