Germany’s Pyogenesis is probably most renowned, or reviled, for the drastic transformation they’ve made over the course of their existence and subsequent rejuvenation. Specifically, if you know Pyogenesis and are pissed off at them, it’s probably because of the musical moves they made throughout the 90's.
Unless you're jealous of his guitar playing abilities.

The band has thrown enough curve balls at us to make the anticipation a bit uneasy for some, but with Mayhem one thing is always certain: be it the more avant-garde experimenting of Grand Declaration of War or the stripped down laceration of Chimera, a new Mayhem record is an ugly, misshapen thing.
Those haircuts… they can't possibly be serious, can they? The two gentlemen in the above photo aren't posing for a CKNY ad campaign. They are Kerry McCoy and George Clarke of Deafheaven fame, a band both praised and reviled in equal measure, one at the forefront of a worldwide battle being waged within the black metal scene, a battle for authenticity.
