Here's something I never thought I'd write: Touche Amore have signed to the Jay Z-owned management company Roc Nation. The announcement was made on Facebook last night:
A quick look at some of the comments on the Roc Nation page about the announcement include:
"Is this a joke?"
"Swaggg"
"Interesting signing and possibly the most diverse signing you've had on your management yet. Just don't ruin their smaller more personal feel, and we're good."
"Does this mean that they're gonna tour with Big Sean?"
The band have a Roc Nation profile and everything. They currently share management with noted metalhead Rihanna, Kanye West and Kylie Minogue and the aforementioned Big Sean. There are rock-oriented artists on the roster like Haim, but this is certainly a leap for the label.
It will be interesting to see what sort of exposure the band gets from this new affiliation and if any other rock acts will be signed.
