CNN's Anderson Cooper Calls Out Dave Mustaine

Megadeth's Dave Mustaine just can't keep out of the headlines. His (now legendary) rant against Men's Wearhouse was posted all over the web, including on CNN, where they inaccurately reported that he still had some bad feelings towards Metallica, which Mustaine called them out on.

But that wasn't the last time CNN would be mentioning Mustaine.

On CNN's flagship show, Anderson Cooper tonight, at the conclusion of the program on the segment "Ridiculist," Cooper spotlighted Mustaine and the Men's Wearhouse fiasco, basically calling the thrash icon old. Take a look:

The biggest shocker of all? Mustaine responded to this and took the high road:

What…the…what?! Could Dave be turning a new leaf? Does he realize that the things he says in a public forum, like Facebook and Twitter, leave him open to ridicule from anybody and everybody? Maybe he might scale back the cuckoo talk and just focus on writing siqq riffs for his new album?

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

    This wasnt so bad for dave. The tone wasnt scathing, just bemused. It's almost as if Cooper's calling the whole situation ridiculous, how we all turn into old crotchety bastards, even a heavy metal rock star, whom he treats with respect and just uses as an example.

    An Ill tempered and childish artist you say? No.. That is why Dave is an infernal riff-engine and not a diplomat. Aftershave covered, limp-fruits like Cooper have no passion, so where they do not engage in eccentric or erratic behavior, nor to they churn out masterful works of brilliant art. In this case, he didn't really say much. Truth is, most of us have thrown tantrums over less, to be sure. If anything, the eminent suit-dummy, Anderson Cooper owns sock in Men's Wearouse and was protecting an investment. haha

    So basically, Anderson called out Dave for being immature. He trying to show Dave that people listen to musicians even in the Thrash Metal community – For Dave to go on a lengthy rant over a department store mishap is ridiculous… Dave has thousands of people watching what he writes, so he needs to use his field of influence for something other than bitching about a gift not coming in on time. Anderson Cooper not only gave him a tip of advice but a social networking BOOST by mentioning him on CNN…. Dave needs to step up HIS game.
