Fuck Yes!, Monday Wake Up Call

LAMB OF GOD post "Contractor" - a new studio track (Hear it here!)

Posted on December 21st, 2008

Oh fuck yes! We're doing this week's Monday Wake Up Call a little early (Sunday night to be precise) because we simply couldn't wait to unleash this to the masses. Over the weekend, LAMB OF GOD's European label, Roadrunner UK created a page where users could sign-up to receive a free download of the new LoG single "Contractor". As of this writing, that page is down. Clearly, the site was not ready for the massive amounts of LoG traffic coming its way. But one fan clearly signed up in time and did the entire metal world a huge favor by uploading a pretty decent rip of the song to Youtube. So check it out below, and be careful not get any whiplash!

This track comes off LAMB OF GOD's upcoming release, Wrath due in stores February 24th.

This immediately made me think of Pantera.

element22ag. thats exactly what i was going to write until i saw your comment. wtf is wrong with this band? they had, at one very breif moment in time, their own unique sound. why they have abandoned that is beyond me.

  5. samophlange2 says:

i mean, i could understand if it was a change for the better but this isn't for the better, IMO. this is actually closer to how i would picture pantera sounding (with better guitars of course) if things had happened differently for them.

  6. boogerwall says:

Oh come on. You children are clearly mentally disabled. This song is tight as hell and as heavy as anything they've done since As The Palaces Burn. I wish metal fans with internet accounts weren't such ignorant pieces of shit.

  7. Gamaza says:

huhhhh……. i miss lamb of god(leg of lamb) this is a band that has fallen far from thier original sound into an awfull rock/metal band with even crappier lyrics.

  8. samophlange2 says:

boogerwall. So, because some of us don't think that this swill is as good as their earlier efforts, makes us children and ignorant and pieces of shit? hmmm.. you sound like the only child so far if for no other reason other than your limited vocabulary. I will be 30 next year and have been listening to metal most of that time and have formed pretty strong PERSONAL tastes in music, and for the sake of this forum, metal. So, I'm not as easily impressed as i was when i was younger. I personally think that Lamb of God are more than capable of writing better music than this particular song indicates. That's my opinion. But when you start calling people pieces of shit because they don't think your pet band is as great as you do, then you begin to sound like some 14 year old, "jobforacowboyisthemostbootaldeathmetalband", in flames t-shirt wearing, karate-kicking mall rat. Relax dude. If you like it then buy it when it comes out. Seriously. lol

  9. spacemonkey says:

i like it, its no RUIN, but it is still better than most of the crap out.

I could care less what everyone else thinks about it. If you don't like it that's fine by me. I like it so far and I'm going to get the album when it comes out. Hell, when I heard "Redneck" the first time I thought, what the hell is this crap, and even though I can't really stand the song to this day, the rest of Sacrament, in my opinion, is pretty badass.
