But We Already Trap[ped] Them In A Basement
Posted on November 10th, 2009Posted by Justina Villanueva

For us Metal Injectioners, it was a delight running into Trap Them at the Crazy Donkey last week when we shot Black Dahlia Murder's entire set in Long Island. It was even better watching Trap Them again, despite all their gear issues. Then I remembered, "Shit, exactly 7 months ago I took pictures of them in Jersey. And, shit, I never put them on Metal Injection!"
So now I have a great excuse to post them on a blog because in a week all us lucky people who live on the east coast will be blessed with Cave In, Narrows and Trap Them shows (New Yorkers get Nov. 19). And I also have an excuse to tell you that New Jersey still has hardcore bands. When Trap Them played that New Brunswick basement, bands Troublemaker, Fleshtemple and Suburban Scum opened for them. And since then, I've been exposed to other NJ based HC that I normally wouldn't give a fuck about. But these bands have managed to open my metal heart and arms to the destructive Seasick and the more punky Staring Problem.
More photos of all the bands after the jump!
