Roh here! So, it's 3:30 in the morning, am really stoned and in Amsterdam, everything is closed and I just spent the last few minutes catching up on what's going on in metal. Cause I am a nerd. Above is Shadows Fall's “Still I Rise” is the first video from the band’s upcoming album, Retribution, which streets September 15 on Everblack Industries. Also, drummer Jason Bittner's other band Burning Human just released a video for the track Tormented Mind.
Alice in Chains got Elton fucking John to play a piano part on the title track of AIC's new album, Black Gives Way to Blue. Also, the band released the new album art. I am quite excited for this release, which comes out September 29th.
SOULFLY will hit the road in the U.S. this Fall with support from PRONG, CATTLE DECAPITATION, and MUTINY WITHIN. SMN has dates.
God Forbid guitarist Doc Coyle is going to fill in for Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton (who is having a kid) when LOG open for Metallica. Ridiculous!
Pig Destroyer was the focus of an article in the Washington Post. Um, wow. Good for them! They were also the focus of a Metal Injection interview, which will be up very soon, along with a ton of live footage.
Not only are there photos of the type of people who attended this year's Gathering of the Juggalos, but there is video too. I still can't believe these people exist.
