This year's winner of the Boston Marathon is a metalhead. Yuki Kawauchi won this year's marathon in 2 hours, 15 minutes, 58 seconds, through 38-degree weather.
He was the first Japanese man to win the event since 1987. And, what kept Kawauchi going? Some heavy metal!
MetalSucks reports during a press conference after the run, Kawauchi talked about the music he listens to:
“I really like singing songs by X Japan, in particular ‘Silent Jealousy,’ but recently I’ve also been big into Babymetal.”
