New LAMB OF GOD gets title and release date; Commence media frenzy

Other than the release of their Walk with Me in Hell DVD and Randy Blythe's appearance on the new Gojira CD, it's been a quiet year for Lamb of God. No more–February 24, 2009 marks the release date for the long-awaited fifth album from Virginia's finest, entitled Wrath.

Says drummer Chris Adler: "This album is going to surprise a lot of people. Typically bands that get to where we are in our career begin to slack off, smell the roses and regurgitate. We chose a different path. No one wants to hear another band member hyping a new record. WRATH needs no hype. We have topped ourselves and on February 24th you will feel it."

Recorded in Virginia, New York and New Hampshire with producer Josh Wilbur (Steve Earle, Hatebreed,) Wrath will coincide with a world tour, which follows some west coast tour dates Robert Trujillo's current band. Expect a US tour announcement soon.

Wrath is a pretty conventional album title, but they could name it Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Puddle of Mudd and we'd be excited. If you needed to know why, check out the video for "Ruin."
