It's safe to say that Dimebag Darrell is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. When we recently aired our Most Influential Albums series and ranked Pantera, all of our talking heads basically said as much.

But the guitarist can't be great without his guitar, and Dimebag had a vision for what he wanted his to look like. Today, a photo surfaced that captured Dime's original sketches for his desired and now famous Dean Razorbacks.

The photo comes courtesy of Dean A&R guy Curse Mackey who posted the photo on his Tumblr. Check it out:

One of these rough sketches ended up being the guitar in the photo up top. Who knew Dime was such a prolific designer?

Clearly all his talent was in his playing…
I'm no pro when it comes to drawing, but I don't draw like a 5 year old. XD

But, I guess that's what you get when you're drunk like 24/7…
And that's nothing against Dime. In fact, I'm about to listen to some PanterA.
