Metal Injection

UPDATE:OneLoveForChi is back and with a new update clarifying the progress made by Chi, saying he's still very much comatose, even though his eyes are open and there is limited communication. Sorry if the original story was a bit misleading.

Deftones bassist Chi Cheng has been bedridden in a hospital bed since late 2008 after a horrific car accident left him a coma. Cheng is thankfully finally making some serious progress in his recovery, having recent awoken from his coma and has even been able to respond to basic commands, including lifting his legs. He is currently in a minimally conscious state. A video was recently posted showing his progress:

A small step for sure, but still huge progress. Thanks to the wonderful country we live in, Cheng's family's insurance provides cut off coverage early in his recovery progress, and friends and fans have been helping out with the insane payments for his treatment.
