After years of turmoil and suffering Wild Hunt are back and better than ever. We are stoked to premier their first full length in six years!

After the tragic death of their beloved guitarist Drew Cook in 2015, many thought Wild Hunt were finished. Yet now, three years after their last studio effort the band has re-entered the public conscious with what is perhaps their most impressive offering yet.

Blasting forward with potent rage and fully aware of the inherent nihilism of the human condition, Wild Hunt is black metal for the thinking man. There is a very human struggle encapsulated in their new record, Afterdream Of The Reveller, but this is what makes the band so fascinating. The proggy assault of this record is cerebral to be sure, but they also hit you right in the gut. This is black metal that understands not just where the scene is at, but also which represents the music that we need to hear to face another day.

Drummer and lead vocalist Harley Burkhart had this to say:

"When our guitar player Drew Cook suddenly passed away three years ago, we weren’t entirely sure if and how we could move forward as a band. When we finally regrouped, our former bassist West Lenz pushed us to start working on our second album and that became the driving force for Wild Hunt for the next year or two. It was inevitable that the album would revolve around Drew—as we dug through riff tapes he left behind and revisited songs that we wrote together, it only made sense to make 'Afterdream of the Reveller' in tribute to him.

West departed not long after recording began, which left our guitarist Greg Brace and I to assemble the rest of the album by ourselves. For two years, we effectively locked ourselves in our rehearsal space to make 'Afterdream.' Since completing the album we put together a new lineup and toured some, but this record is a memento of our time with Drew and also of the metempsychosis we underwent as band after his death."
