Watch The Short Film Black Metal Before It Premieres At Sundance

BlackMetal_Poster2

Yesterday, we told you about a weird short named Wrong Cops premiering at Sundance, which stars Marilyn Manson playing a teenager. Today, we have another Sundance entry, but this time, it's the whole film!

Black Metal, written and directed by Kat Candler is described as such:

After a career spent mining his music from the shadows, one fan creates a chain reaction for the lead singer of a black metal band.

Immediately, I was hooked. The cinematography here is top notch and the story can happen to anybody. Take a look at this 9 minute film and tell us what you think:

Being the prudish and pretentious person that I am, I wasn't expecting much from this short film. It was, however, a very impressive piece of art that spoke to me as a metal fan and a person. I hope to see more from the director.

Good work, but "the story can happen to anybody"???? really??? if shit like this usually happen, every single black metal band of the world couldn´t exist.

What's to stop some metal head from pulling a Sandy Hook because he thought the music "told him to." There are some sick people out there. Just because it hasn't happened (as far as we know), that doesn't mean it COULDN'T, which is what the author said. He never said it "usually" happens.

Anybody know what the music in the beginning was? Thought it was pretty bad-ass.

Really really good, i enjoyed this aspect of the duel side of life, especially from one of the darker places on earth.
