VOIVOD's New Album Features Timpanis And Someone Playing The Bones

Not a euphemism either. Literally someone playing bones.

Not a euphemism either. Literally someone playing bones.

Good news and even better news – Voivod is done recording what'll be their seventeenth studio album to date and it sounds like it's going to be progressive metal weirdness as usual!

The band's first album in five years was recently wrapped up being recorded, and Voivod has taken to Facebook to show off some of the album's odd instrumentation.

In the first video, you're watching someone literally play the bones as a percussion instrument, and in the second it's a little more obvious that there's some timpani action going on.

Keep an eye out for more Voivod-related goodness in the coming months.
