Tom G. Warrior will soon play Celtic Frost classics with the Triptykon lineup at Decibel's Metal & Beer Festival, and will play a special Celtic Frost set with the Dutch Metropole Orkest at next year's Roadburn. Keeping in line up with looking back at his accomplished career as a metal musician, Warrior has now announced he'll be playing classic Hellhammer material as Triumph Of Death.
He also stresses that Hellhammer will never reform or return in any capacity, and this is just a celebration of that music.
“Hellhammer will never return and will never be reformed. It is absolutely impossible to reform a band so closely linked to a very specific and unique period in time.
I never considered it, no matter how substantial the offers that were pitched to me over the years. But Hellhammer‘s music exists, and it is an extremely important part of my life’s path. And I would like to play it onstage before my demise.”
Warrior has only booked Hellfest thus far for the act, which features bassist Mia Wallace (Niryth, The True Endless), guitarist and vocalist Michael Zech (Secrets Of The Moon, Odem Arcarum) and drummer Alessandro Comerio (Forgotten Tomb, The True Endless).
