THE OCEAN Is Shirtlessly Recording New Music Right Now

Plus there's a new, or old, song coming in September.

Last we heard, The Ocean was to hit the studio this spring for a new album. Whether or not that happened is up in the air, but now The Ocean is clearly teasing it either was or is up to something in the studio.

Check out about 45 seconds of new, very shirtless music below, which may or may not be the new The Ocean album. In the meantime, Pelagic Records has announced a compilation called In The Twilight, These Rocks Have Teeth – A Compilation Of Contemporary Post Rock And Metal due out September 29, which will feature a previously unreleased The Ocean song called "Turritopsis Dohrnii."

It's worth noting that later in the same press release, "Turritopsis Dohrnii" is labeled as "the band's first output since their 2015 Transcendental split EP with Japan's post rock legends Mono." So is it an unreleased track or a new track? I guess we'll find out soon.
