THE ACACIA STRAIN Is Annoyed BORN OF OSIRIS' Guitarist Drunkenly Put Them On Blast

Yesterday we posted about Born Of Osiris' Lee McKinney going off about The Acacia Strain on Twitter, and even threatening to fight frontman Vincent Bennett. Bennett hardly responded, because that's the only logical course of action in that situation, and fans were confused. Was this some sort of publicity stunt? Was there a tour coming up or something?

Nope. McKinney just got super wasted and then got on Twitter.

The Acacia Strain guitarist Devin Shidaker commented on the situation to MetalSucks, voicing the band's confusion and annoyance. He also calls McKinney an insecure turd, which is probably warranted at this point.

“Since you guys (along with everybody else) have already posted about it, I guess I should fill you in on what’s happening between our band and Born of Osiris… Nothing. There is no tour being worked on, and none of us have talked to anybody in that band since Summer Slaughter last year. All of this internet drama from Lee was unprovoked and came out of nowhere. Nobody in our band cares and we don’t know what his problem is. All I do know (according to people that are on tour with them right now) is that he was hammered last night. Drinking and tweeting are a bad combo.

“We all have day jobs, mortgages, and families; we don’t want to have to deal with some turd whose insecurities come out on Twitter when he gets wasted.”

The whole thing just seems really, really random. It's not like it was a few tweets (all of which are now deleted) – this went on for a little while. So just in case you weren't already aware, don't get drunk and then hop on Twitter… or Facebook, or start texting, or calling people. Just step away from technology at that point.
