Stop What You're Doing And Listen To This NEW MESSHUGAH Song!

Meshuggah

I'm not sure how this leaked, but who cares. Thanks to Brandon Geist, editor of Revolver for the heads up. THERE IS A NEW MESHUGGAH TRACK IN THE WILD! I REPEAT…A NEW MESHUGGAH TRACK! The track is called "Break These Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion." I'm going to shutup and just let you listen. It's off their album, Koloss, which comes out March 27th.

Update: According to Got-Djent, the track was leaked by the band themselves. Yay! The domain where the leak was found, iamaleak.com was registered by the band's management and the band themselves gave out clues as to what the URL is with cryptic messages around the internet:

the ophidian whispered those who seek shall be rewarded….
a sonic declaration of spIte And resentMent
its resonAnce grinding to dust our souls
the twine of revenge tightLy strung
its subharmonics thE undoing of All

and for those who asK for my name? / dotcom

MMMmmm .. Really lovin the Meshin on this one, but it could use more Shugga. IMO

  2. Meshugganaut Meshugganaut says:

Well, Marten did say it was going to be slower and sinister.

  3. The song is track 7 off of Koloss and it's called 'Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion'.
The domain was registered by the band's manager, which implies that the 'leak' is a marketing stunt.

Safe to assume they're using 9 stringers on this? I dig it.

Jens is 45 years old. He sounds great for his age, his vocals have remained consistent since the beginning of Meshuggah.

I'm sort of digging this sound to be honest… It's no Bleed, Spasm, War, or Aztec Two-Step but it is Meshuggah, it's much more slower, simple, and more down tuned (some how) which makes it even more complex in a strange way. Meshuggah is always going to change it up no matter how we predict what they will sound like year, after year, but it's still the Meshuggah sound indeed. I approve of this super slow heavy bass production… I'm looking forward to what's to come.

Sinister vibe with a groove deeper than the Mariana Trench. Two words come to mind…

    FUCK YES
