Seemless have a really nice "Unit"

So, as I was taking a massive poop, I was reading the newest issue of Revolver magazine and stumbled across a monthly featured article called "The Unit". Now if you aren't familiar with this, I can give you a short summary. Revolver catches up with bands that are on tour in a spur of the moment situation, they ask the band to record on their portable recording device…whilst under the pressure of the moment.

SeemlessI love the idea. I heard the results of The Dillinger Escape Plan and Meshuggah from previous issues; however, I wasn't sure what to expect from hearing the newest session from "The Unit". Revolver magazine caught up with Seemless, one of my fanboy favorites…because of Jesse Leach. For some of you that listen to my radio show, Dead Zone, know that at one point I did a whole hour dedicated to him…which he was greatful of…So, as soon as I saw that Seemless was this months featured artist, I quickly shat out the rest of my waste and my hand acted as an electrical sander with toilet paper so I could get out and see if the Mp3 was posted. Luckily, it was.

I promptly accessed, www.revolvermag.com and clicked "The Unit" in the menu which took me directly to the link. At the bottom was the url for "Death Rattle (Come Hither)". Pretty funny name…Jesse actually says, "Come Hitha" in the intro…its pretty funny.

In the beggining, you can hear a sick fucking drum groove and stoner type guitar riffs remenisant of Crowbar. Its pretty amazing what you can do with drum machines. For only having 15 minutes to come up with a song, they did VERY well. I was almost creaming my pants until I heard Jesse's vocals. It was probably funny at the moment, but damn it, they sucked. I am not about to go and rip on him because for one I know it was a joke and two he is way better as a vocalist then this display.

Ewww. Seriously. Ewww.

The lyrics are actually fucking cool:

Crawl To Life
born from the ashes of mankind
vile hatred fills the veins of the unbroken
this fight in eternal night
Shadow's cast inside our souls
the stillborn came to life again
a river of blood spills down into the valley
weary & weak we drink to the undying battle
death cries from our bruised lungs
battled in mother earth regurgitation
Hide my flesh inside her roots
this is our final damnation
forever to suffer suffocated
in this dark embrace

Pretty fucking grim if you ask me, it reminded me of his Corrin days. DAMN IT WHY DIDN'T YOU DO BLACK METAL VOCALS!!!!!

Anywho, check out the song by clicking here.

Mad props to Revolver magazine for doing such a thing. Sometimes, its good sometimes its bad…overall, I guess it shows who can shine or who will dine on my pooh.
