SLIPKNOT Visit Paul Gray's Grave On Two Year Death Anniversary

That's right folks, two years!

Time definitely flies, and this time it's sad to think that it's been two years since the tragic passing of Slipknot bassist and co-founder Paul Gray. Gray was found in a hotel room after overdosing on drugs. To commemorate the occassion, the remaining members of Slipknot got together at Gray's gravesite to remember their fallen brother. Frontman Corey Taylor recalled the experience for Revolver:

“We just hung out and told some good stories,” Taylor tells Revolver. “It felt good to do that. It was the first time we’ve been able to hang out and talk about him without crumbling. It was good. We laughed about the old memories. It meant something. It definitely meant something.”

“Even though Paul’s not with us, everybody’s right, he would not want us to just stop being what we are,” Taylor says. “We headlined the first Mayhem run [in 2008], and now we’re coming back and doing it again [this summer], albeit it under different circumstances. But I think it’s going to be great. Plus, I’ll have my family out with me so it’s going to be like summer vacation, only more masks.”

The band is coping with the death as best as humanely possible. It's to hear they were together and keeping things positive. Of course, they won't have to wait long to see each other again because the band is going to be making their US return at this Summer's Mayhem Festival, headlining the main stage.
