Skinless being back together isn't exactly breaking news, but the group's first studio album in over eight years is! The album will be titled Only The Ruthless Remain and will be out on Jun. 2 via Relapse Records!
Only The Ruthless Remain will feature the group's 1998 debut record lineup of Noah Carpenter on guitar and vocals, Bob Beaulac on drums, Joe Keyser on bass and Sherwood Webber on vocals, with the addition of new guitarist Dave Matthews. What an unfortunate name to have for an extreme metal musician. The album was recorded by Tom Case at both Edie Road Studio and Doomsday Bunker Studio in upstate New York, though vocals were tracked by Dave Otero (Cephalic Carnage,Primitive Man, etc.) at Flatline Audio in Denver. Oh, and the the record was more than likely mastered to sound like genocide by Brad Boatright (Obituary, Nails, Integrity, etc.) at Audiosiege in Portland.
Considering Skinless' excellent discography, I would venture to say this album will be equally awesome.
