Fictitious black metal group from Norway, except not really, but kind of.

Sons of Balaur just signed to Season Of Mist and… doesn't technically consist of any members at all. It's a fictitious band that's been around seemingly since 2015 and will finally be releasing an album at some point this year alongside a comic titled Realm of the Damned. It'll be black metal for all we know, and who will be representing the band in real life both live for signings and in the studio has not yet been revealed.

Here's what the band had to say via Facebook.

For years we have kept to the shadowy underworld of the Balaur Kvlt, secretively committing our visceral incantations to limited release for only the trvely worthy, calling for our great Lord Balaur's return. Now he has risen and the new world order is at hand, through blood lust, orgiastic sex and unimaginable vampiric terror this Realm Of The Damned is now a reality. With the release of the Realm of the Damned graphic novel and the forces of good now vanquished, our debut album, a trve black metal gospel of praise to the Lord Balaur is set for release though Season of Mist later this year. Let the chaos begin!

Screaming Blood And Pussy, Hail Lord Balaur!

Tomas

The band is basically what Dethklok is, it seems thus far, and will be chronicled a little bit in the upcoming issue of Metal Hammer. So I guess we'll be hearing more about this group in the future?
