The talented and amazing Mark Rudolph who has drawn up numerous pieces of art for Metal Hammer Magazine and Relapse Records is currently putting together something mind-blowingly awesome, an illustrated tribute to Mercyful Fate! I'll take a second for everyone to pick their jaws up off the floor…okay great! The illustrated tribute entitled Satan is Alive: A Tribute to Mercyful Fate will feature some of the biggest names in metal and art today.
Legendary cartoonists such as Decibel Magazine contributors J. Bennett, Nick Green and Chuck BB, as well as Henry & Glenn Forever's Tom Neely, Ed Luce and more will all be making contributions to the project. The illustrated tribute which is inspired by Mercyful Fate's music will also feature forwards by Darkthrone’s Fenriz and Repulsion’s Scott Carlson. I'll give you another second to again pick your jaw up on the floor…okay great!
