Slash Says New Music Is On GUNS N' ROSES' Members Minds

"I don't want to say anything that's going to make people start thinking something [is happening], because there's nothing set up."

The topic of new music has certainly come up quite a bit after Axl Rose reunited with Slash and Duff McKagan in Guns N' Roses. In the past year, Rose said "you never know" about new material, while Slash has confirmed that Rose has a ton of new material written. Now in a new interview with The Los Angeles Times, Slash says new material is definitely on the band's mind but there's nothing set up as far as plans to record.

Slash has also kept pretty quiet on new material from Guns N' Roses, so him being pretty vague about what the band has planned isn't exactly surprising.

"I don't want to say anything that's going to make people start thinking something [is happening], because there's nothing set up. But it's definitely on my mind; I know it's on Axl's mind; and I know it's on Duff's mind. It's one of those things that you don't want to put a timeline or a deadline on. You just let it be, and it will happen when it happens."

This would be Guns N' Roses first new album since the ill-fated 2008 record Chinese Democracy and the first with Slash and McKagan since 1993's The Spaghetti Incident?.
