The metalcore world was pretty shocked late last week when Danny Worsnop announced he was leaving Asking Alexandria. Fans were shocked. I've even heard some members of the band were shocked. But everybody needs to move on and the band needs to find a new vocalist, stat.
AltPress seem to have the inside scoop on who the new guy might be: Denis Shaforostov, formerly of Ukrainian metalcore act Make Me Famous (a contender for 2011's Worst Band of the Year). They can't confirm it, but they assume because Shaforostov has a very similar vocal delivery as Worsnop and because his current project, Down & Dirty, is also on Sumerian, that makes the chances really high. Other evidence include photos from his Instagram where he posted about a great practice, with some Peavey amps in the background. Peavey is Asking Alexandria's official endorsers.
The question remains: will fans accept a new vocalist for Asking Alexandria? I definitely think so. Especially if the two sound pretty similar. Where do you weigh in on this?
