In an interesting turn of events after Tool announced they'd be playing shows for the first time in two years, there's a rumor floating around the band will be taking up a mini-residency at the Axis Theater in Planet Hollywood of Las Vegas.
Vegas Chatter reported on Friday, Jan. 24, that a reader tipped them off the band would maybe be playing between Mar. 11 and Mar. 18 at the theater due to a gap in their touring schedule and the absence of resident Brittany Spears at the Axis Theater.
Interesting… we'll see what the band does considering they said they'd have more tour dates to be announced via their website as time goes on for their tour, so that residency could very well be one of them. The better questions is this- is this tour in support of their new album, or just because they haven't toured in a while?
