I think somewhere deep down Rob Zombie still has the capability to write great music. How deep down and the accessibility of that depth has not been determined yet, but it's there. His first two records, 1998's Hellbilly Deluxe and 2001's The Sinister Urge, are great records. The rest are… definitely music, some more than others. The dude is talented, and recently in an interview with The Pulse of Radio he said he's been feeling inspired lately and wants to follow up 2013's Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor as soon as possible. What gets me excited is the fact that he's feeling inspired, so we'll see. I'm holding out for 2014 to be the year I get excited about Zombie again!

"'I don't want years and years to go by between records, even though somehow it always seems to happen,' he said. 'And, you know, we're really excited because we really felt that for ourselves as a band, the last record really kind of got back to something that I was looking for, and we were just excited to take it to the next level. When you're feeling inspired, you kind of want to go for it, because sometimes you don't feel inspired.'"
