Dear Bruce Dickinson Jr. (Rise To Remain vocalist Austin Dickinson) seems to be leading another one of those bands that are like the oxygen allotrope, ozone (O3) in Earth's ozone layer. To those who have no knowledge of chemistry, ozone is what filters out most of the Sun's UV radiation in the outermost part of the atmosphere, so that only a fraction of it reaches Earth's surface; if not, we'd all be getting skin cancer. Anyway, there is a constant and ongoing process that breaks down ozone and reforms ozone simultaneously, 24/7.
Well, Rise To Remain certainly are volatile lately. Not only have the band changed part of their lineup (a fairly compulsive decision I might add, as it ruined their current touring plans), they have also pushed back the American release date of their critically commercially-acclaimed debut album, City Of Vultures.

It is with regret that Rise To Remain announces that they have parted company with their bass player Joe Copcutt and drummer Pat Lundy on the eve of their first American tour. As a result, they will no longer be able to take part in the shows as planned supporting Machine Head. The band apologizes to all their US fans but would like to assure them that they will be playing shows there very soon.
The US release of their critically acclaimed debut album City Of Vultures via Century Media Records now moves to June 5th, when Rise To Remain will be heading to American shores for an extensive soon-to-be-announced tour. The American album release will also feature exclusive new material recorded in the coming months.
New members will be announced in due course. In the meantime, Rise To Remain would like to thank Joe and Pat for their contribution to the band's success and wish them well with all their plans for the future.
Seriously, when will modern metal bands ever learn to be more calm and collected? And not give in to impulsive decisions? I can't count the number of times I have read about various -core bands, big or small, breaking up or changing band members like one does with underwear everyday.
So to all their US fans out there, the next and first time you'll be seeing them rockin' your shores will be on the Vans Warped Tour in a few months time (they have been announced as the third act). Pray that they don't 'part amicably' with another band member or the likes.
