RED FANG To Release Its Own Red Wine This Month

Aptly titled Red Fang Wine.

Aptly titled Red Fang Wine.

Metal bands and alcohol have become a pretty obvious pairing over the past few years to the extent that there's a festival about it. Red Fang is the latest band to have its own wine, which they've very aptly dubbed Red Fang Wine. It's (obviously) a red wine made in collaboration with Teutonic Wine Company that blends Pinot Noir, Tannat, and Gewürztraminer, and will be out on January 13 after a release party at the winery in Portland, OR.

Here's what drummer John Sherman had to say about the wine.

"Everyone thinks we’re very much about beer and our videos definitely portray us that way. We do drink beer, but I personally prefer wine and consequently, I’ve always wanted to make a Red Fang wine. To meet winemakers who also dig heavy music was a dream come true. The first time I went to Teutonic’s tasting room, they were playing Saxon on vinyl and I said to myself, 'these are my people.'"

Red Fang will be on tour later this month with Black Label Society & Corrosion Of Conformity, as well as doing some solo shows.
