QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Plan To Hit The Studio This Year

For a band that took six years between records, Queens of the Stone Age seem all ready to go for a new one in only about a year.

For a band that took six years between records, Queens of the Stone Age seem all ready to go for a new one in only about a year.

Queens of the Stone Age released …Like Clockwork on Jun. 3, 2013, though obviously they'd been writing and planning this record out over the course of six years between that and 2007's Era Vulgaris. So who knows how long they actually worked on the album's music, but still- that's six years. Now guitarist and frontman Josh Homme is telling Rolling Stone that the band have an entirely new batch of songs ready to go as soon as they're able to hit the studio:

“Absolutely. We have more than enough songs. We’re booked till September, but after that we plan to jump in the studio and get going.”

Oh God yes. …Like Clockwork was such a good record that I regret not naming of the better records of 2013. It's everything catchy the band had done up to that point combined with impeccable writing and some really cool guest spots. If Untitled 2015 Record is even half as good, we're in for it… again.
