For being four months pregnant, Nightwish frontwoman Floor Jansen has done quite a bit of touring. Four months back puts us in June, where the band was just wrapping up a tour, which was then followed by sporadic dates in July through September. Regardless, main songwriter for Nightwish, Tuomas Holopainen has broken the news of Jensen's pregnancy to Prog!
"The issue of Floor having a kid came up earlier this year. I asked her if she had been thinking about having a child and she said, 'Yeah, actually, I have.' So I said, 'Well, we're thinking of having a break so if you want to…' And here we are.
Jansen's partner is Sabaton drummer Hannes Van Dahl, so we'll see if he takes off from the band as well for a little while. More importantly, let's see if Jansen goes to Asia with the band in October to keep performing… though I'd imagine not.
