New Sumerian Signees CAPTURE THE CROWN: Love or Hate Them?

To say that Sumerian has a "diverse" roster is an understatement. On the one hand they have tech death bands like The Faceless and Periphery and on the other they have more scene/accessible bands like Asking Alexandria, I See Stars and perhaps their newest signees, Capture The Crown

Upon loading the video, I instantly puked in my mouth a little at the synth part, but then I realized, wait a minute…it's actually sorta catchy. Then, the "metal" stuff came in and I was undecided. Am I just pre-disposed to hate this or do I actually not like it? Maybe, I don't mind it?

Either way, we live in a post Attack Attack world, and more of these bands will surface. What side of the fence are you on for Capture the Crown? Yay or Nay?

Honestly, these bands are a dime a dozen. The reason more and more bands like this will surface is because this is what's popular now. Don't get me wrong I like some bands like this, but I also like bands like Periphery, August Burns Red, and other bands that are not chug chug chug clean chorus chug chug chug.

The overall sound sucks, but I (slightly) admire that they are a little "creepier" sounding than attack attack. They still suck donkey dick….if i had the power to rename them I would call them "capture the clown" because of the weird fusion of crapcore and circusy synths

sumerian needs to get their shit straight. this band shouldn't be getting any exposure outside of that atrocity known as rise records. this shit is terrible. their heavy parts are barely metal, the synth is lame, the cleans are lukewarm emo leftovers.. i mean they can't even drop a decent breakdown. absolute vomit. every age and decade has bad metal, this is the epitome of what's terrible in the scene right now. Jesus how did they make a major label?

all of them are tattooed, check, all of them have "rockstar" shades on, check, all of them have pretty much the same haircut, check, most of them are wearing american apparel clothing, check, all of them are wearing skinny jeans, check. Oh shit yeah they have met all the qualifications for a perfect signing. LOL wow I dont even want to bother wasting my time listening to this band, I can tell they suck and sound the same as every other synth metal band. They got signed, because I mean look at them they have the image all 12-16 year old girls get wet over. I just think its pathetic when their are much better bands that should have been signed like freaking Apostate, Fractals, or Kalmah they are unknown so why the hell he chose to sign them over much more talented bands is beyond me. Well they are doing what they were intended for is and its sell quite well on Itunes. God damn the little girls who have basically decided what bands get singed to labels these days.

Yeah…this is absolute garbage. There are no redeeming qualities with this band.
